After completing his studies and doctorate in veterinary medicine, Michael Wegmüller entered the IT sector and worked for many years as an eLearning expert at the University of Bern, where he technically managed and implemented numerous software projects in the field of teaching or supported them in an advisory capacity. He then worked as a full-stack developer at an NGO, where he was responsible for the planning and programming of database applications and their security. During his professional career, he acquired in-depth knowledge in the areas of software development, data and application security as well as project management. He was able to further expand his knowledge in the areas of cybersecurity and communication through various further training courses, e.g. an MAS in “eLearning and Knowledge Management”, a federal certificate as a “Cyber Security Specialist” and certification as an OSCP (Offensive Security Certified Professional).
There’s no silver bullet with cybersecurity; a layered defence is the only viable option.
